One Hoofbeat at a Time

Established in 2003, BEATS primary mission is to make hippotherapy and therapeutic riding accessible to anyone who could benefit from this service. BEATS is dedicated to empowering children and adults with physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges to live healthier and more independent lives through quality equine-assisted activities and therapies.
BEATS is a therapy company that specializes in the use of hippotherapy and aquatic therapy as primary tools of treating children and adults as disabilities. Specially trained and licensed therapists – physical, occupational & speech – use the unique properties of these two mediums to maximize treatment outcomes in children with a variety of disabilities including developmental delay, cerebral palsy, brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, spina bifidia, coordination disorders, muscular dystrophy, Down Syndrome, sensory disorders & many more.
BEATS is a recognized 501C3 non-profit company and has established a scholarship program to assist families of special needs children to cover the costs of equine and aquatic related activities. This includes barn/pool fees, non-covered therapy fees, therapeutic riding lessons, horse shows, and camps. All donations are tax deductible.

" has given me new hope! The wonderful therapists have helped me achieve so many of my goals in a supportive, safe and happy program. The special horses are patient and loving - coming to the barn has become my favorite part of the week!"  - Louse E.

"BEATS is awesome!  Our busy bee loves to grab and love on people.  With the guidance of her Physical Therapist at the barn she is calm on the horses she rides and finds joy when approaching the gate to enter into the ring to ride "her" horse.  We love that we are welcomed like family and genuinely loved at BEATS.  Its worth the drive from Marietta, GA to see my child happy." - Miracle B
